Frantically sliding through a series of ultra-brief vignettes, Giddy is a one-man rollercoaster that pushes everyday observational humour into the absurd. Combining mouth-mouthed fretting, nagging heartbreak and a very sexy duck, this is a stream-of-consciousness physical comedy that’ll horrify, thrill and delight.
Created by Leon Wadham and director Jade Eriksen, Giddy picked up an Auckland Theatre Award for Excellence in Performance and was named by The Pantograph Punch as one of the top shows to celebrate in New Zealand theatre in 2018.
“Delightfully insane and oddly poignant… You’d be an idiot not to go” – Metro
“An astonishing show you could only possibly experience live in a theatre. Not to be missed – if you can get a seat.” – Theatreview
“I loved every stupid second” – Theatre Scenes
We’re right in the middle of the Terrace… Find Oxford lane (between Terrace Tavern and Amazonita), then go up the stairs behind Little Fiddle, or go up the elevator between Bangalore Polo Club and Amazonita. You can also access it from Shands Lane.
It’s about a block from the bus exchange, and if you are bringing your car then there is street parking down Hereford Street or use the Lichfield Street Carpark, it’s just a stone’s throw away!
