Paying homage to the basic b*tch, with style, class and so much uncensored hilarity.
Hot off the trail of NZ FRINGE and after being nominated for Best Emerging Artist at Palmy Fringe, Mackenzie Mckenzie is here with “ICON”.
Have you ever wondered just how #forrealhard life actually is for an upper middle class white woman? Well omg let Mackenzie McKenzie tell you all about it. Your dream, your nightmare, the girl who blinded you at Coachella with her lit glitter suspenders Mackenzie is here to tell you all about her carbon free diet and how to get that dope festival outfit a year in advance because sea fest is coming soon am I right??
With a loving tongue-in-cheek, sassy, and empowering look at the legend of the “basic bitch” and the myth of female restrictive labels Mackenzie is here to shake things up, make you think, laugh, cry and tell you all about her journey to “icon”. This larger than life character is, created and performed by local NZ comedian Jess Jean.

We’re right in the middle of the Terrace… Find Oxford lane (between Terrace Tavern and Amazonita), then go up the stairs behind Little Fiddle, or go up the elevator between Bangalore Polo Club and Amazonita. You can also access it from Shands Lane.
It’s about a block from the bus exchange, and if you are bringing your car then there is street parking down Hereford Street or use the Lichfield Street Carpark, it’s just a stone’s throw away!
