A message from Ray re: 6th May session:
Kia ora e te whānau!
Thanks so much for buying a ticket to our little Late Night Poetry Hour! It’s been ages since the last one and I’ve really been missing it, so I’m very sorry to say that this one is being cancelled too. On Friday I broke my ankle very badly (and in highly embarrassing circumstances which I’m sure I’ll fill you in on when we’re next in a room together!) and with everything else that’s going on at Little Andromeda this weekend we thought it would be better and easier on everyone to cancel rather than forge ahead with a different host.
I promise to bring back the poetry hours as soon as I can! In the meantime, happy writing, and please do go out and support the other wonderful shows at Little A this weekend (if they aren’t already sold out!)
Hello, friends. It’s me, Ray Shipley.
I’ve decided it would be fun to get my favourite poets together and get rowdy, because two of my favourite things are (1) poetry, and (2) ignoring my bedtime. So come along to Little Andromeda, get yourself a pint or three, get cosy with a friend on a couch and listen to some poems. There will also be a tiny open mic, so bring along a poem if you’re that way inclined.
Let’s be real: this event is likely to run much longer than an hour.
First Friday of the month, 9:00pm
