A trivial comedy for serious people
Jack is in love with Gwendolen. Algernon is in love with Cecily. Cecily is Jacks ward. Gwendolen is Algernon’s cousin. Jack told Gwendolen his name was Earnest. Algernon told Cecily his name was Earnest. Neither Jack nor Algernon are actually called Earnest but of course Gwendolen and Cecily both think their love is called Earnest. Maddie and Morgan cant find Earnest anywhere on Instagram, someone misplaced a baby and Quin is just happy to be here.
Confused ? Good.
A Comedy of Falsehoods, wit and questionable societal norms, Big Little Theatre Company’s reimagining of Oscar Wildes the Importance of being Earnest will have you laughing out loud and hungry for a muffin.`
Adapted and Directed by Nomi Cohen
We’re right in the middle of the Terrace… Find Oxford lane (between Terrace Tavern and Amazonita), then go up the stairs behind Little Fiddle, or go up the elevator between Bangalore Polo Club and Amazonita. You can also access it from Shands Lane. Once you’re up the stairs, look for the Little Andromeda sandwich board, or our windows which have Little Andromeda written all over them!
It’s about a block from the bus exchange, and if you are bringing your car then there is a brand new carpark next door; type 92 Hereford Street into your GPS!
