The first time Mel experienced confusion was when she was only 3 years old in Mrs. Dragon’s umbrella class – where she had a strange encounter with her best friend, Lucinda. After this, Mel made peace with the fact that school will be filled with many more absurdities, and it was. She shares her humorous point of view on the insane obsession with fishing, straight couples, the South African anthem, smart phones, and fancy cars.
